How goal-driven prompting works in practice

The user sets a goal to "lose 10 pounds" in the AI assistant app.

The assistant then activates relevant goal-driven prompts:

"Since your goal is to lose 10 pounds, I can suggest some healthy recipes that others found useful for similar goals. Would you like some recipe ideas?"

"I see you selected a goal to lose 10 pounds. If helpful, I can provide gentle reminders to exercise and give you little tips to stay motivated. Would reminders be helpful?"

"You're halfway to your 10-pound goal - nice work! To give an extra push, what if I sent you a quick prompt each Tuesday and Thursday afternoon asking how your workouts and nutrition is going relative to your goal? Would some interim accountability check-ins be welcomed or not?"

"I notice you have slipped off the pace the last 4 days in tracking calories and exercise relative to hitting your target weight loss goal. Remember that lapses happen and you can get right back on track. Can I assist with anything like meal planning, workout tips, etc to help close the gap?"

As you can see, the assistant is focused on contextual prompts tied to the user's specific stated health/fitness goal. This allows it to give personalized and timely suggestions, feedback, tips, and accountability measures - with the singular focus at all times of helping the user achieve their weight loss goal. The prompting is centered on moving that individual metric.
